So it's finally arrived. The Danish winter. But fear not! We have plenty to keep you occupied with our upcoming events, and there's plenty elsewhere in our events calendar to inspire you.

Also, whisper it, but Christmas is also just around the corner, so set a date in your diaries is our annual Christmas Tree party on 11th December.

Expat in Denmark - Professional Network Seminars
 A key factor in involving Danes in Expat in Denmark activities is identifying a common professional factor which is shared by EiD members.
Professional Network Seminars (PNS) have the goal of creating an area of common professional interest between Danes & Expats, and facilitating this interest with a seminar and follow-up networking.
This fall we are proud the present three events to expand your professional network, while at the same time foster a better understanding of key themes within specific sectors.
 EiD: International Negotiation and Arla Foods Marketing Strategy (Nov-8 CPH)
Expat in Denmark invites you to our Professional Network Seminar on International Negotiation & Arla's Marketing Strategy.
Prof. Anne Marie Bülow from CBS and Vice President, Corporate Communications at Arla Foods Astrid Gade Nielsen will provide a combination of theoretical & empirical examination of the growing role that culture plays in today's corporate communication & marketing strategies.
EiD: WHO & Novo Nordisk: Health Issues of 21st Century (Nov-9, CPH)
 Expat in Denmark, WHO & Novo Nordisk A/S invites you to our Professional Network Seminar on Health Related Issues of 21st Century: Challenges and Achievements. Our speakers will be Dr. Agis Tsouros, Head of Policy and Cross-Cutting Programmes from the World Health Organization and Dr. Peter Kristensen, a Senior Vice President for Global Development at Novo Nordisk A/S.

Self-employment and startup in Denmark: conference in Aarhus
Do you want to start a small business? Are you considering becoming a freelancer? Do you dream of owning a small company? Then join us for this event!
As part of the annual campaign "POWER to entrepreneurs and growth enterprises" being held in the 46th week (14 Nov to 20 Nov) and the International Campaign "Global Entrepreneurship Week", this event is aimed at providing advice on all aspects of being an entrepreneur in Denmark.
The event will take place in Aarhus and people from all over the country are welcome to participate - no matter if you are an international or a Dane interested in building a network among internationals.

Invitation to "The Bollywood Trip"
Expat in Denmark and The British Chamber of Commerce in Denmark invites you to a special showing of The Bollywood trip on Republique Theatre.
The Bollywood Trip is a magnificent musical drama performed by select Danish actors, first-rate Indian dancers and an extraordinary band that combines musicians from both nations.
The story sheds light on the intense insanity evoked by dreams and wild visions that get crushed by reality. The dancers can fly. The images are spellbinding. The music elevates.

EiD - Christmas Beer November Social @ The Avenue Hotel (Nov-30, CPH)
On Friday the 4th of November the Christmas beer will be ushered in all over in Denmark, so this month's social invites you to taste the new Christmas beer and the famous gløgg.
EiD once again invites you to join us at our November social at the Avenue Hotel in Copenhagen for a relaxing and interesting evening in the midst of other expats and Danes.
Note: The event is not on the 4th, but on the 30th of November.

Expat in Denmark's Christmas Tree Party: 11th December 2011
Expat in Denmark invites all members and their families to our traditional "juletræsfest", to celebrate the coming of Christmas in a Danish style!
This year the EiD Christmas Tree Party will offer more fun and gifts for kids as well as a raffle with great prizes.
As always, the event is free for all.

 Tax Seminar - Aalborg
XPAT NETWORK NORTH, "Velkomstcentre - live and work in North Denmark" invites you to a seminar on the Danish tax system on:

The Danish tax system can be tricky to understand and difficult to navigate in. But with a few guidelines it gets a lot easier. "Velkomstcentre - live and work in North Denmark" and "SKAT" would like to help you to get a good start as an employee here in Denmark - or expand your knowledge of the tax system although you have been here for a while.

English Theatre: "The Zoo Story" & "Cinderella."
The Zoo Story: At a glance we all either seem blissfully content with what we are, have and have accomplished but looking on the inside, are we really??
For one whole month, That Theater Company with Ian Burns and Adam Brix present a one-act play depicting the coincidental meeting between two men. Read more and purchase tickets here

Cinderella: Everyone knows the fairy tale Cinderella, the much loved story about a poor girl who overcomes all to win the prince's heart. But do you know the pantomime version?
The Copenhagen Theatre Circle is running Cinderella in English, from the 15th - 23rd December 2011 and 3rd - 7th January 2012; weekdays at 19:00; Saturdays and Sundays at 16:00.

Aarhus Academy for Global Education
Aarhus Academy for Global Education is very pleased to announce it's opening: AAGE opened its doors to the first international kindergarten in the greater Aarhus Area on the 1st of November 2011. AAGE opens its doors to ALL year groups in August 2012 to the Primary and Middle Years Programmes of the IB. AAGE opened on November 1st 2011, which was a great day for us, the school and especially for our students.

New network launch: Le Cercle d'Entreprises (Nov-17, CPH)
 A new network - Le Cercled'Entreprises - Will be launched shortly by the Danish-French Trade Union - DFHU. It will be launched at an event taking place at the Danish Chamber of Commerce. Le Cercled'Entreprises aims to create a strong network between French and Danish companies, and will see a series of events directed at French managers in Denmark and Danish business leaders with natural interest in the French market.

As a part of improving our website, and helping Expats getting to know the Danes, Expat in Denmark has made a new page in the Networks section of the site. The new page will help Expats find their way through the enormous amount of Clubs and Association's that exist in Denmark.
