Summer activities in the city with Expat in Denmark and CPH Volunteers

Be a part of BMX World Championship and Metropolis Biennale

If you and your family are settling in for a nice summer in the Copenhagen area, you may be interested to know that there are plenty of interesting activities to join in.

In May, several Expat in Denmark members helped out at the ASSITEJ Performing Arts Festival for Young audiences and had a marvelous time. And because CPH Volunteers were thrilled with the help they got, they've invited Expat in Denmark members to come back for another round of exitement. This time it's the BMX World Championship in July and the Metropolis Biennale in August.

Bike City Copenhagen
Copenhagen is the first city to have been awarded the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) Bike City label. This means that Copenhagen, between 2008 and 2011 offers six world class cycling events. Two of these events are left, the BMX World Championship and the UCI Road World Championships, and now you have the chance to help out at the first one. Staff is needed for three different tasks. To learn more about them, please go to our eventcalendar by clicking here.

Art and Performance in the city
In August the event Metropolis Biennale will fill the streets of Copenhagen with performance art. Plays and happenings will make for exiting days, and you have the opportunity of playing an important role yourself. Three main attractions will be on, and voluntary staff is needed for all of them. So if you have a small actor inside screaming to get out, this is your chance to try it out. Guides are needed for the different venues and happenings, so have a look at the event, by clicking here, to see what you can do.
