Camping

There are several camping sites in Denmark of which most of them are situated close to the sea. Each campsite has been allocated between one and five stars, indicating what it has to offer. All sites with a 3-star rating and above guarantee you a comprehensive programme of activities for children.

In Denmark, camping outside of camping sites is not permitted. Only short-term stays are permitted on ordinary parking grounds. Long-term parking of caravans is only permitted on specially equipped sites.

The Weather

Denmark has a temperate climate with mild winters and cool, short summers. Summer temperatures from June to August are in the 20°Cs, and winter temperatures from December to March are often around 0°C, with frequent frost.

There is moderate rainfall throughout the year. Temperatures are mild in spring and autumn.

The northern geographic location means short days during the winter (sunrise approx. 8am, sunset approx. 3.30 pm), and very long days during the summer months (sunrise approx. 5 am, sunset approx. 10.30 pm).
